Ultimate predictions: November 7, 2009

November 4, 2009

in Last Season

Yes, the calendar has turned to November and with it three conference teams remain in the race for the 2009 conference title: Iowa, Ohio State and Penn State.  The last two play against each other on Saturday…

This week – November 7, 2009 – WINNERS IN BOLD

Illinois @ Minnesota

Zook has finally won a game and Minnesota looks better last week.  For the Illinois, reality returns.  MINNESOTA

Wisconsin @ Indiana

Indiana blew another chance last week to become relevant – and closer to being bowl eligible, while Wisconsin regrouped nicely in beating Purdue.  This week, the Badgers win again.

Northwestern @ #4 Iowa

Wouldn’t it be nice to see Iowa finally not come back in a fourth quarter?  Perhaps it will happen, but certainly not this week.  IOWA

Purdue @ Michigan

Michigan’s woes will be even more so after this game.  Purdue wins.

Western Michigan @ Michigan State*

MSU finally wins a game, albeit a non-conference one.

Ohio State @ Penn State

The loser won’t retain its share of the conference title, while the winner moves on.  My gut tells me that the Nittany Lions pull everything together and win big.  PENN STATE!
